Open Hole Bottom Hole: Conventional

A Bottom Hole Compression configuration is most often used when a zone of interest is located at the bottom of the well, often performed when hydrocarbon shows are observed during drilling. It can be invaluable to attain a benchmark production rate and reservoir pressure by testing the formations as soon as possible before they are damaged by mud invasion while drilling deeper zones. If this benchmark production rate and pressure is not attained when production testing, stimulation may be warranted to clean up formation damage.

DH Hydraulic Valve

The Hydraulic Valve is a down hole valve used in opening and closing the flow from the test zone.

DH Sampler

The Sampler catches a sample of produced fluid and retains the sample at the down hole pressure of the interval at the instant that the hydraulic valve is closed.

Squeeze Tool

The Squeeze Tool is a check valve that opens to balance tubing to annular pressure when the tubing pressure exceeds annular pressure.

Extension Joint

The Extension Joint is used to allow free travel of the workstring. This allows operators to get a good indication of hole drag in deviated holes.
