Position

We are currently recruiting for a Machine Shop Forman in our Edmonton Machine Shop. This rewarding opportunity requires a strong machining background coupled with leadership in a fast paced environment. Our Machinists will have the opportunity to develop new, industry specific tools and prototypes. This position offers growth and the opportunity for quick advancement.

Main Responsibilities

• Co-ordinate daily shop activities (people, work, machines)
• Provide training and mentorship
• Provide technical support
• Identify shop requirements i.e. supplies, machine repairs
• Work closely with Engineers to develop new tool designs and prototypes
• Machining as required
• Assist with job planning as required
• Assist with job quoting as required
• Assist with continuous improvements

Required Qualifications

• Previous experience in a machine shop leadership role
• Manual lathe operation (Journeyman, greater than 5 years' experience)
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Fluent in English

• Gun drilling experience
• CNC experience
• Quality control experience
• Downhole oilfield tools experience
• Welding experience
